it was hot yesterday and lulu's tongue was loooong. we stopped by the midway east end that obomba wanted to steal along with the rest of the park and i thought how lovely it looked with the tall grasses and pond with lovely ducks and geese and seagulls. lulu goes wild for the wild grasses. maybe one day the city will be more thoughtful and not let powerful rich men take over neighborhoods and parks for private enterprise and actually respect the natural landscape instead of ripping down trees and whacking the wetlands. after all is said and done one day they won't be able to control it, the water is rising, and slowly, consciousness, and nature will come back despite the greed and hubris of men.

one day people will value nature more than real estate and human construction. unfortunately it will be mostly a nostalgic love. unless...
