yesterday i finished the book radical faith, about sr. maura. it tells the story of american terror, how the school of the americas trains state terrorists and gives dictators first class ivy league educations so they can go back and  enslave their people and enrich themselves and their american masters and after their career killing sprees retire to florida. and how the catholic church follows and mops up a little of the blood, shedding some of it's own, and how some bright souls like maura live a while before dying give some solace and medicine and become heroes in strange countries and exiles in their own. i read how we got where we are today, how compassion won't die, and power will kill.
