the professionals have fucked things up. i know amateurs rarely have power, but they have love, and it's their strength and conviction all nature relies on.
i listened to bishop desmond tutu this morning on world beyond war say:
i'm delighted to support world beyond war's new initiative to build a global movement for the total abolition of war. i join people who have associated themselves with this statement: i understand that wars and militarism make us less safe rather than protect us. that they kill, injure, and traumatize others, children and infants, severely damage the natural environment, erode civil liberties, and drain our economies, siphoning resources from life-affirming activities. i commence to engage in and support non-violent efforts to end all war and preparations for war and to create a sustainable and just peace. the ideology that accepts war as a tool of foreign policy fuels terrorism, encourages racism, destroys the environment, and erodes human rights. drone murders are making war increasingly routine, while nuclear weapons threaten all of life. the world spends about 2 trillion dollars a year on militarism. a fraction of that, tens of billions, could end starvation and provide clean water to the world. hundreds of billions would revolutionize clean energy, access to health care, and education. please join me in working for a world beyond war.
thankful, i'm back in the water. i hope it helps. my mind is so tired. of course i saw the yoga trump twice at pebble, and it does not matter, no one can take the spirit of the water away.
i think of asking him and my starbucks x friend, how do you like your trumpworld now. but they probably feel the same, america the great-- we had the conversation and it is a done deal. we live in the ongoing aftermath, and the sentient beings still feel the same way too--we just want to live in a just peace, but we are not deluded. we must live in a world of war, for now.
