i found a baby garter snake in the grass on the midway plaisance (i never remember 
if it's garter or gardener, it seems like gardener would be more likely cuz there are lots 
in the garden, and they're good for it (and i think of a snake holding up a girl's stockings, 
at weddings pulled down by the teeth of the groom and thrown to the bachelors. too silly)

 and i saved it, soul cute, from a potential lulu of fate.
