meanwhile in the park the bunnies are growing up and spreading out. the mom must have split to make a new nest of bunnies before it gets cold, or got eaten, and the bunnies are on their own. there must be some wisdom in making the nest in the middle of the baseball diamond in the zone of so much activity. the coyote is less present here, and the dogs, well, they are less hungry than predators, and more playful, not that it's about playing. it's about coexisting. comet found a bunny straight off by the kiddie playlot fence. i told a mom i was trying to calm his instinct, but he was positively vibrating with it. nonetheless the fence helped. at one point when one started coming out i shooed it back in, then another one made a mad dash and comet chased it to the bushes. well, i think we did beta today. the bunnies are still growing their prey instinct but they are faster than comet. and comet may be mellowing a wee bit. now the wilds are almost disappeared we have to make room for what nature the city and the land grabbers will allow, aside from the zoo and a couple postage stamp sized roundup sprayed erstwhile nature sanctuaries made human gardens.
