what a world. it's so good when something works. lulu was brilliant today. so was bear. lulu was doing her own thing and i just watched her from a distance. when i went over the mound i waited thinking she'd come racing but i looked around and saw her looking confused like i just went poof and then she lit up and burst into a run at me. the flag is in tatters but clings in remnants to the stick. we may have another day with it and then it may have to be burned or buried like a bone. it's sure served a purpose though for me and malulu.

i can't comprehend what makes people act the way they do. m. ghosh refers to the time as the great derangement, and that sounds fitting, but why? oh, we know why, it's been engineered this way. but why? ever since i was a kid i've been asking that. not just the reason, but really why.
