it was rainy but we had a ball

it was an erratic ball spring green a good ball after all

we played good  ball and while we had a ball i wondered

if our flag taped to the no justice no peace sign on the wall

would still be there or did it (it did) fall. 

but it was sodden and tattered but there still and all.

though we the lulu lost the green erratic ball 

and having little or no object permanence at all

though brilliant at finding other dogs' lost balls

she quickly forgot her own lost ball 

it took some time but we i located the green ball 

i got only slightly perturbed as i we searched

as i murmured easy come easy go, some we find some you lose 

and back at the elevator i said to lulu even though you might 

lose a ball lulu and really you didn't, it was right there where 

in the precise spot you forgot, even if it was lost for good,

you're still good lulu, you is not a loser lu.
