at first i wonder what i'm seeing and then i remember i was looking for the kestrel in the tree with the camera. kes has been coming around and maybe it's the kes we called kes from last year or the year before or one of the kestrel kids. i don't quite hope the kestrels will nest here again this year. they were chased away by crows last year. and there are now two microwave drums up on the roof and i wonder how birds are affected by microwaves. and how are we affected by the way. of course they pay to be there and of course they say there's no affect on humans, but i guess we're all affected by everything, like birds.
