you know we shed the equivalent of our body weight in skin each year? and you guys your weight in fur. isn't that amazing? i heard that. think about it, like a whole series of us is dropping off like leaves throughout life. what happens to all that genetic material, is it eaten up by other critters around us, moths and such, are they part of our family tree? i'm crazy?
ha, you crazy too, we all came from the same tree, furball.

p.s. Humans shed about 600,000 particles of skin every hour - about 1.5 pounds a year. By 70 years of age, an average person will have lost 105 pounds of skin. Humans shed and re-grow outer skin cells about every 27 days - almost 1,000 new skins in a lifetime.
