lulu listens to a freight train. she may have no idea what a freight train is. in the arcade she hears the rumble, and pulls me to safety. she was calmer with that today. then she hears the clank and boom and roar of the loaded cars through the edge of trees, and she stares and listens, and pulls for escape, sits, and i lay back and she comes to me. this is my way of accustoming lulu to trains, she lives by the tracks, and trains are an everyday thing, and i think she's starting to glean that they are noisy, but they are not monsters coming to get her.
