i was riding west on the doublewide sidewalk along the park and a ruddy shlub says you don't ride a bike on the sidewalk and i say fuck off and shlub goes apeshit, says something something motherfucker you picked the wrong day and the wrong dude to fuck with and so on and his head looks fit to burst red and he starts chugging after me but on the sidewalk and we go like that for a ways, him huffing and cursing and me riding yelling fuck you fuck you and two dudes come by window rolled down cracking up and cheering me on and i smile back and just feel elated and then i veer off to the free book bin feeling like a kid again.
