i was reading in the rebirth of nature about willows. they used willow for fence posts and the fences came alive in spring. the willows on the blasted wooded island look utterly dead and hollow, providing shelter for small creatures, and then from the dead come billowing willowy yellowy green again. mother earth wears willowy will.
