i took lulu down this spooky corridor. she turns and looks at me
uh i don't think so. come on lulu it's a little spooky even to me. we'll be ok. in the city spaces like this call me the way hidden spaces in the country would, but here sometimes people hide in hidden spaces. we didn't see any. this is a ghost corridor, but green and overgrown, where nobody owns.

there are presences here. this is a place i used to bring beagle barak obomba who also got spooked. i think it's my bent toward disused places, where there's quiet, and disquiet, as city spaces are not like the country. every space in the city is inhabited, if not by common folk, by denizens and ghosts. i know this place, though i know it because of dogs, though only stray dogs would go here of their own will. i want lulu to know i will take care, that she's safe with me, and maybe these spaces are grounds to establish trust in adventure, trust that we can go places together we would not go alone.
strangely to me, there's a new mural there. i don't know what it means or why there where few will see. it may be the same as with the cave painters, called to secret places to record
their experiences, and summon spirits.
