file under uncanny. remember last night i heard the owl hoo-hooing when i went to bed and i went out the kitchen door to the fire escape to see? there was this huge owl and it was dark and i'm no ornithologist but my thought was great horned as she flew away. well today mary left me this postcard with a piece of her bird day cake. and i never mentioned my owl encounter to her.
