if there is no virtue, there is no comprehension: indeed, comprehension is virtue,
a stance that receives the whole thing awkwardly, blindly, with gratitude,
without being able to report this reception, a stance composed of borderless awe
and human powers thinned by compunction, these powers relieved of presumption.
