how do we communicate. if we can speak and are silent are we communicating like the non-verbal animals, or is our silence a separate thing, a separation. is it possible to communicate without speech. with sound and gesture and eyes. what makes communication fraught. what makes silence. perhaps the questions we keep having have no answers perhaps. they are only questions after all.
