think of dogs, they are creative, but the only success they need is love. and they only need to remember the stuff that brings love, and the way home. 
i got hung up on creative success, i rejected material success and my old man, and the man, i transferred that malaise though to creativity, and it may be the rest of life i spend undoing my education and freeing my creativity. we don't even realize how enslaved we are in this world based on the false freedom defined by money. in the world of money, everything is quantified, everything is translated and contained in the language of ascribed value, so we don't even know how to translate our inner lives, which is all that really matters. 
still, i guess we all want to be recognized. if we can just trust that it is ourselves we need to recognize, we wouldn't have the craven need for money or notoriety.
