Plastic Particles Threaten to Swamp the Planet  

There are 150 million tons of plastic in the oceans already, and without significant human intervention to prevent it, the weight of plastic in the sea will be greater than the total weight of fish by 2050.  (truthdig 2/5/18)

and the weight of the fish is measured in part by the plastic they eat that we toss in the sea that goes into the fish we then eat. we are recyclers whether by choice or design wherever we are in the food chain.
