i wonder what that mechanical eye sees. 
does it come to feel like the tree? 
wanting to let others be, and nod 
in respect, or introspect? 
does it see anything? 
is it just a dead device screwed to a living tree?
whether open or closed
it's an eye that nodding seems 
more near thoughtful,
almost benign.
