lulu's rarely if ever sad. she's a soulful kid. it's funny to think about all the pictures i've snapped of the kid over the years and she's never seen one, nor i imagine has she even looked in a mirror. she sees herself in my eyes. sometimes in a picture i see a tiny convex me with my tiny camera floating in her dark pupils. i love to see me there.
