lulu has a sad face but she makes people smile. when i ask her to pose sitting on the stairs she looks forlorn, but i know it's just her face, and it's me that's forlorn. really she has a whole array of expressions which is remarkable given that her face is sad by design. when she's happy she has the same face of course, but she's radiant, and her eyes shine.
