what is up with terrence malick? is he the same guy that did badlands and days of heaven? it almost seems like he uploaded himself into a computer avatar and all these movies lately are generated by algorhythm or something. they are just so schmaltzy and ersatz, good words for t.m.2. he didn't make a film after days of heaven for so long he became a mythical figure, and it's hard to come back to earth i guess. anyway he's out there floating in the matrix in the cg stratosphere, and i'm not watching his carp any more.
