i'm thinking about it. i've thought about how the times are unkind. i think about humankind, and i feel baffled. 

humankind is baffling to me. i'm a human so to speak so i'm baffling myself. 

i think about how to be kind to animals, including humans. i'm not very kind to myself. 

the kids ask the neighborhood to be kind. 

i read their signs every day when i walk the dogs. kids, i want to say, i want to be kind, thank you for your messages, 

thank you for repeating the echoes within me, on the posts, in the neighborhood. 

thank you for reminding me.
