this is an expression of total power, crudely and blithely packaged as a library and beacon for inverted democracy for inverted people. 

it's possible to have a society that is so de-democratized and that has so turned against democracy at the level of its governing powers and has so consolidated the force of the media, the intelligentsia, the corporate and financial sectors and state power that you do have something like a total society. inverted totalitarianism, or corporate democracy.

obama is the epitome of this metastasized corporate state power. he's the imperial ex-president for life.
