i talk to a cormorant who seems to go to sleep, head tucked under wing and when i move startles awake and looks at me. it's a sweet spot to be, for cormorant reasons. i also think it's a space of entanglement with our fellow species. i go there and stay alone too, while in the mix with other watery beings. when you live in urban nature every place is part of the public trust, unless you can't move around, then you might be removed, or repurposed where you once stood.
