i was talking to josé from costa rica on the point this afternoon about obamaland and i think being costa rican he was sympathetic about the mindless corruption and nature-killing glee of power politics  and and being from costa rica didn't know much about it and he was listening close as we'd already primed the conversation on bikes and then this kid was listening and maybe i was talking too loud because another kid, i can call them kids because i'm over sixty and they are in fact kids she was rolling her eyes or maybe not but bemused you might say and i smiled anyway because honestly honestly i don't mind if people think i'm a goofy old coot i think the kid's a dope for asking are you talking about the obama library? 

 he calls it a lieberry! ha! wad a dope!
