i just remembered this guy came up right here and said congratulations on my work, i must feel good, and i kind of knew where he was going, so i said, you mean with the dogs? and he paused and thought, and i knew he was mistaking me for jamie kalven. it happened just the other side of the path last year. it was a runner too and i thought maybe it's the same runner. but it wasn't. and he asked me if i had anything to do with jackson bark. jackson park, yes, i said. i want to save it from obomba. and we talked awhile about power and futility and lost causes won. in the end i think it was a good mistaken identity, and now we know who we are when we meet again. he apologized for mistaking me for jamie, but i said it's a pleasant mistake, and i congratulated myself on my work with the dogs. and for giving money to jamie.

(jamie founded the invisible institute and works hard to uncover criminal police activity. i think he worked on the laquan macdonald case?

...i was thinking about the last time some runner mistook me for jamie. i told the guy i'm nobody, i'm just a dog walker and he said, ok, bye, nobody! and ran off laughing.
this was a much nicer mistaken identity.
