as to lulu, i just don't know. it wasn't her fault that she ran away and played keep away. she does that at home and it's a safe game. she doesn't know out here the game is different, that the inside games are deadly out here where the living room is green space bordered on all sides by heedless speeding cars. besides the displaced and confusing game, she is strong-willed, and looks for loopholes, and she grows bigger each week. will she cooperate by ice time? i know for as long as i'm with her she will not bolt again. how do i known that? i mean that is my clear intention, my imperative. to tighten the harness and look for the loopholes as lulu will. somewhere in this experiment cooperation will come. or it isn't meant for lulu and me.
