dude i paid the rent, the electric, sent back the camera, got ten pounds of superannuated apples, and The Invention of Nature, Alexander Von Humboldt's New World by Andrea Wulf. ain't that man enuf?

i was talking to edith about this yearling red-tailed hawk and looking at her picture when up she flew and looked at us. charming, and i also got to see edith's lovely drawings of seed pods.

so this is the new camera. i hope folks don't buy the pentax wg10 thinking it's seven points mo betta than the pentax wg3 like naif me, but it looked much worse in the viewfinder and i reckon copp can live with this until we see what pentax precision camera offers on warranty for the lamented wg3 my dear departed friend.

hey this is the new crummy camera. it ain't sooo bad. fact it's much better than i thunk.
tho it can't handle motion and has that damn delay. but so did the one for twice as much. it's cheap technology which cheapens the self, but it is what it is, rather humbling i might say, sort of democratic.
but it is axuly way mo betta than i thot.
i can dream comet's a nineteenth century dog transported by cheap pentax into the 21st century.
and if we're really still, and talk soft, the picture settles.

of all the things to feel shame about why a blog? well edith, i don't rightly know. it's kin to a diary which used to shame me all by myself. why this public shaming? because i can play with it, even shape it a little. because even if no one reads or wants to read it's a kind of expiation.
i got him a fine antler he'll probably like than this turtle helmet.
i was thinking about box turtles in mount zion that my friend's dachsund always found burrowing under leaves. then i found this turtle helmet for copp at the flea market in the old bookstore but it's a little small. (now i hear the cop car Whonk! and the thin piercing siren song.)

wow. i started out so depressed. but as the day got darker i lightened. (just now sitting in bed i heard a barrage of gunfire in the park below).
