A Short Introduction To Anneliese is 567 pages. Olive woke me at 2:20 a.m. and I keep falling asleep mid-sentence. I couldn't believe she woke me at 2:20 a.m. Did she think it was morning, or did I say something out loud in a dream? Did I call her name? Anneliese thinks continuously which is not so strange but she also talks continuously. Is she crazy? I don't know, she may be brilliant, but surely not continuously. I read James Elkins' first novel Weak In Comparison To Dreams, and it was thick too, and something kept me going, maybe it was the craziness. It's not just crazy, but seriously crazy I guess. That's what held my interest. I can't talk about the story, it would just sound crazy.
