i just posted r. mutt's urinal, then aeon posts about it. am i algorithmic? do i comprise the world? i read that someone else made up that r. mutt fountain. it was not just a found functional object but a found art object. aeon asks how can an object be both art and not art. they say fountain is art only insofar as it is not art. it is what it is not—and this is why it is what it is. what is art. don't ask puddin'head dave— you might as well ask a urinal, or a fountain, cuz dave ain't sayn.
