i remember dad, but i forget when he died, and i forgot his birthday. no one said anything. i remember i was in ida noyes hall waiting to see a movie. i was in the empty room where they have parties when he told me he had died and come back. i asked what it was like. i don't remember what he said. it was strange i could hear in his gravelly voice down in florida where he went to die. i remember him telling me he talked to his dad in a cloud. i remember when he asked what it was like when rose, his mom, died, as i was there, and he was on a walk, and i said it was like steam rising. but he was a person in my life, a conflicted one, i wish i knew more about him. he was a mystery to me, and then he died, at some specific time. i think he was born yesterday.
