i picked up rising star at the library, it's a doorstop. amanda called the obamachron a doorstop. am i going to read it? i'll get the gist and then toss it back with relief. r. says i'm obsessed, but i would readily forget the oligarch if he didn't decide to plant his tower in the park. but this tome is supposedly critical. the first thing i gleaned is he was raised and schooled by the white elite. i'll put him on the bottom of the pile, underneath secret poetics, the apple in the dark, a hundred years and a day, and best barbarian.
