the american buffalo part 2—into the storm. they didn't manage the complete eradication of the native people or the bison. some bison were put in zoos and some in pens like cows. the native people were put in reservations where they were starved and the children were put in white schools where they were miseducated, beaten and killed, but some survived the white power onslaught of manifest destiny. this country may never recover from the disaster of civilization. it's still going on. but when you look into the eyes of the bison you see that life is hope and hope is indigenous and spirit can't be killed and will prevail.
