i finished spadework for a palace and couldn't help but think of the obamachron. it deals with corruption of the urban environment, with monumental hubris, and with cosmic destiny beyond the comprehension of the misleaders. well, actually it's about a librarian who gets the boot and dreams of making a library in a sealed tower that no one can enter to check out books. i think of obama's liebrary, and his digital archives secreted away in someplace called hoffman estates. i think, what's next, and the answer comes, philip guston?
