when i got back from walking with magic the gingko tree was cut down. i saw the tree cutters jumping around, getting stung by bees that had a nest in a branch. this was a hard thing in this time when trees are being cut everywhere, particularly across the street at the obamachron. before this a beautiful honey locust was cut that lived in the corner and would have been a lovely buffer to the encroaching obamachron. but this tree was spreading so many seedlings it would take over the yard. the community has to choose what can live in the garden. i don't feel like the community chose the obamachron and the clearcutting of hundreds of witness trees.
these days i tend to feel sorry for everything.
