it was a thoughtless, foolish, and risky act i did yesterday, stepping into the crosswalk with r. behind and a car coming. now i will wait until the more sane and civil autopilots stop.

on my way home from swimming today i stopped at the crosswalk by the laboratory school. there were two crossing guards and a cop talking on the other side, and though i'm not a kid, the cop was nice and had mercy. when i passed thanking him he said they obviously were not going to stop.
