today the day after seeing the book talk i got the books of jacob. i was already wondering how much time i wanted to follow eno through his 25 year old diary. now i'm zipping along seeing what catches my eye. i went to a night of eno long ago with him sipping cognac in a stuffed reading chair. that was probably in the time he wrote the diary. i mean, probably listening to another green world is enough. though i just read an entry about swimming with an erection in ireland. also drank his own pee watching monty python. he's super prolific but how much of one genius do we need. i'm only halfway to the end but i'll leave it here.
