lulu the boxer girl who was called a water hater cannot get enough of the swim. she can't wait to jump in and she doesn't want to leave. she swims up to every swimmer and makes their day. i feel soul good being the bringer of the lulu to the point. 
i talked to my friend howard who i have not seen since mister transitioned. i say transitioned now when i thought it odd-sounding before, cause that's what it is, like birth, and all along the way, transition. he asked if mister retired. he had seen him recently. i said yeah, he retired, and explained. we talked about the men's group he sat in on, and i said i sat in on one like that, and as it happens, we sat in on the same one, years apart, and both thought it was creepy and split after two sit-ins without joining or paying large for the retreat. i remember being scared of being with a bunch of earnest to cultish men banging drums and hugging in some semi-wilderness camp. 
i said i can never do those things, but we agreed men need some community and nurturing, and just sincere talk like women more often do without all the mannish ceremony. i said what we're doing now, right. right, howard said.
