the storm turned the water colder and the air cool and who knows what the city rule is today on swimming. the closed beach is being patrolled by a gang of lifeguards kicking dogs and people off the beach while the police break into offices and make popcorn or bash heads and tear gas protesters in the wealthy zones. so we didn't swim today but that's ok. we are not brutalized.
