i notice in hilde and mister that old dogs whose senses of sight and hearing are dimming still have keen and gentle instincts and continue to be cognizant in relation to their continually changing complex environment while adhering to the familiar comforting things that stay the same. old dogs mellow beautifully. old dogs are like the wine of time to me.
