in a way i really want the water to rise. i don't want to lose our swimming spot by the forked tree and the crumbling wall, but i want badly to see lake shore drive flood, and obomba's mock-up plans in the park. it's funny to think we wouldn't have the park either way, but we would have the water, and obomba wouldn't have the land. see how dreadful this ambivalent dilemma becomes us. if we can just stop worrying and speculating, let the speculators speculate, let the money go where it will go and if we can just go with the flow knowing the water is rising anyway regardless of the conning towers and the wishing walls.
