we've been approaching spiritual doom for hundreds of years. that's been our approach. manifest destiny. war on the indigenous, on nature, war on the poor and finally war on our neighbor and war on ourselves.

it may happen that people start growing a conscience about war for the profit of the few over the many, about war for the democracy of the ruling class over the rest of us, about war as a way of life that kills everything in the name of absolute power. it may be that people are growing a conscience now that wakes them and makes them realize they no longer want to serve the ruling class that enslaves us all and annihilates freedom and life itself. it may be that something is happening, a counter narrative to the endless lie of war for peace that never comes.
meanwhile, war is still big business. it's our gross national product.
