the war is borderless, pervasive, toxic. it gets in, you feel it but it's so ubiquitous you think it's not you. it's everything and you. and you can't help but see sometime and once you see you can't unsee, it gets in you. nonetheless love works within and without, even without love, love works in longing. love knows, all is fleeting, god is change, love despite the war, the waste of profit, the gravity permeating our lives, hate spends itself, no one can live on poison, nothing but love can survive hate, it perishes as it spends and spends and spends. love never expends itself. when hate exhausts us love still grows.
i saw a zombie in a black hat and ear plugs walking a wake dog. they don't make eye contact. that's how you know, and the disquiet that travels your bones.
