shit. you kind of have to be strategic about this stuff.
i blunder. i should just stick with the blog, wait til it all falls out the way it will. but redacted says the redacted will not engage in anything confrontational, even to save habitat i guess. so to me they are woefully insufficient, as redacted said. someone has to speak for the wildlife and not be silenced for money.
yeah, the redacted is probably a lost cause—too fearful of confrontation
and messiness. pressure could still be placed on the powers that be. redacted had great ideas of how to do that—letters the editor being
one. when i get back home, i should devote some time and energy toward
this—if i can ever get out from under all the redacted board shit.
i'm just going to stay out of it at this point. i cant stand the cynicism.
it’s a long hard slog, and it’s frustrating and upsetting, but like any
cause that’s important, you have to stick with it until it’s over (not
that you in particular have to, but in general). someone’s got to speak
up for the voiceless, but it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
it’s no wonder people keep their heads down and just go about their
lives without the added disappointment, sadness, aggravation, and energy
suck. do what you can. every little bit helps. and for the people who
say “get over it”—well, it’s not the time yet, because it’s not. over.
yet.
thanks. every time i get discouraged i need to pause. rest. start again. maybe go round the way that blocks.
yup. like water, which moves around an obstacle.
like rain, which moves through it.
