updat. mom was actually attacked by a big grey bird with a four-foot wingspan, that landed on her head when she was picking cherries. as natural habitat is destroyed and subdivisions metastasize we'll be seeing more animals fighting animals, including human, for backyards. so if you're going to compete for cherries, ma, get a helmet!
