here we are at the western shore of wooded island looking at the lagoon and our apartment building over on the right. what i love about open land is being able to see buildings small and part of the environment instead of looming over us and stratifying space into plots in the grid. my gut curdles at the thought of obomba's ghost tower dominating the landscape, cold and inaccessible to the people like kafka's castle, though obomba's phallacy will pulse with arrogant light, a beacon of disingenuous hope in the midst of a penumbra of glittery developments and shadowy blight.
