i read a book on revelations and had a bunch of things to post while copp and i were out of commission but now i can't go back and retrieb=ve it all and there's probably no point really, the gist was that revelations was always political, and there were Many revelations at the time the before the canonical one and the perennial nature of revelations comes out of perennial war and the continual shattering of faith. but the particular revelations mom speaks of by john were specific to the times, and were about the war with rome that had already happened. so that's why revelations is always fresh, because of war, the perennial human war.
