bodhisattva. a person who makes being of benefit to others the guiding principle of their life.

how much have we actually tried to connect with our own heart? and how much, of that particular attempt to connect with our own heart, has been repelled because you are afraid of finding something terrible in you?  trungpa rinpoche

it feels sore and soft. and it hurts. and you want to spill your heart to relate with others.

it's a form of strength, so when you feel that tenderness in you, then you become stronger.

that is the crazy wisdom leap, uh it's like taking a leap into the abyss, but it's not the abyss of nothingness, it's the abyss of reality.

that type of tenderness does bring a notion of fearlessness. fearlessness that you have possibilities, that the world around you can tickle your heart. your raw heart.

the teacher has nothing more than the student. the wisdom exists already.

we're born with it. we die with it. we can't get rid of it. we can't get more of it. the teacher points that out, and the student gradually comes to that understanding, and the minds meet.

when we want, really, to connect with our heart..what are you?who are you?where is your heart? if you just put your hand through your ribcage and feel your heart, there is a tenderness.
