the crows have been quite vocal or perhaps i notice them due to the fog but i can imagine they talk more in fog and also the fog envelops sounds and maybe transmits sound in a way different than usual. our neighbor below the birdwatcher said crows have been looking in her window and wonders if they see her. well sure they do. they see in better than we see out, they know our faces, and wonder what we're up to, yet we see them too, so clearly embodied in the space they inhabit so intently. in the fog the birds talk more.
